GPS for Weymouth Trails & Parks
Do you like walking outdoors? Using this new GPS technology, people with low vision can now follow turn-by-turn directions, which will guide you along each of the trails in our Weymouth parks.
If you would like to receive GPS routes for the parks and trails in Weymouth, please do the following: -Download GAIAGPS app from GAIAGPS.com. -Open and install the app on your iphone. -Set up your free account. No paid subscription is necessary. -Use your email for your user ID.
Once you have set up your account, fill out the form below to get the routes, and submit. -You will receive an Invitation via email or text, depending on your form request, which you must Accept. You will then have the routes available on both your smart phone and your desktop.
Instructions to use a trail route.To access route: -select saved -select Folder -select Route Open the app -Tap on SHARED on the bottom menu -Find the route you want -Open the route for this trail -Go to menu at the top right of the screen and tap for dropdown menu, click on GUIDE ME -Select hiking, then select GET STARTED. -If you are not at the trail start, or on the route, you will be started in DRIVING instructions to reach the trail, then the turn by turn walking will begin at the trail head. At the end of the trail/walk, press END.
