Rev. Thomas J. Carroll

Father Carroll was an important founder of the Carroll Center for Low Vision Learning, in Newton, MA. Thomas Carroll, a Jesuit priest who rose to be Archbishop of Boston, wrote this book as manual for people receiving rehabilitation for vision loss, and for their service providers. His 20 losses, and ways to replace them, remain a comprehensive commentary on what blindness is, and how rehabilitation works. Written in the 1950's, there is no concept of the technology created since, but the book remains a favorite. -Buy on Amazon
